About

I am an interdisciplinary artist and educator based in Minneapolis, MN. I make work that uses humor to explore everyday processes and reveal an understanding of identity and community. As an educator, I am interested in facilitating learning environments that encourage the development of accessible and enriching creative practices. I write about my interdisciplinary practice and observations on visual culture on Substack.

With a background as an illustrator and visual problem solver, my interdisciplinary approach to making was cultivated while earning an MFA at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. I continue to make work motivated by the intersections of my interests: textiles, illustration, zines, and education.

My work has been recognized by the Society of Illustrators NY and been shown at Gowanus Print Lab, Soo Visual Arts Center, Light Grey Art Lab, the Textile Center, Drake University, and more. I was a contributing illustrator to Rookie Mag, taught illustration and drawing at Northern Michigan University, and facilitated wellness-focused arts programming for students and community at Wheelhouse Studios, University of Wisconsin-Madison’s art studio. I currently work as the Graduate Admissions Counselor at MCAD and an instructor at the Textile Center.
